Four Tiger seniors sign letters of intent
For four Blountstown Tiger seniors, Friday was a special day. Head Baseball Coach Emory Horne was excited to get his players together before the Senior Car Parade started to sign their National Letters of Intent to continue their education and love for baseball. Their senior season was denied them because of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Third death reported in Calhoun; 12 new cases
An 88-year-old man who was diagnosed with COVID-19 on May 13th passed away. We received confirmation today. This is the third person to die in Calhoun County diagnosed with COVID-19.

North Florida Long Term Recovery receives $110,000 grant from Volunteer Foundation
Recently, the Volunteer Florida Foundation announced that $6.65 million in Florida Disaster Fund grants will be awarded to organizations engaged in Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Michael long-term recovery efforts. The Volunteer Florida Foundation will distribute $3.85 million to nine organizations engaged in Hurricane Irma recovery efforts and $2.79 million to ten organizations engaged in Hurricane Michael recovery efforts.
