She was a graduate of Blountstown High School and was a medical office manager for thirty years in her husband’s medical practice. Latrelle was an active member of Blountstown First Baptist Church for seventy-five years.

OBITUARY - Owens
Hazel Owens of Clarksville passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016, in Blountstown at the age of 91.
Hazel was born in Clarksville, September 15, 1924, to the late James Monroe and Dollie Mitchell (Linton) Johnson. She was a nurse at Calhoun-Liberty Hospital for several years. She was a member of Poplar Head Baptist Church in Clarksville.
In addition to her parents, Monroe and Dollie Johnson, Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Charles Owens; a grandson, Christopher McMahan; three brothers, Bobby Sylvester Johnson, Mallie Johnson, and Bonnie Johnson; and three sisters, Bertie Eugene Johnson, Verlie Suggs, and Versie Attaway.
Survivors include three daughters, Vicky Chapman and her husband, John, of Aztec, New Mexico, Beverly Owens of Tallahassee, and DeVette Segovis and her husband, Walter, of Blountstown; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Howard Johnson, of Blountstown.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 9, at Adams Funeral Home. Services will be at Poplar Head Baptist Church in Clarksville, Wednesday, August 10, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Nicholas Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Head Cemetery.

Mr. Walter R. Joiner, Sr., 78, of Hosford, FL, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016, in Tallahassee, FL.
Walter was born on May 11, 1938, in Spence, GA, to Jake and Effie (Davis) Joiner and had lived in Hosford for the past 44 years, coming from Bristol. He was retired from the construction business working with C.W. Roberts Construction for several years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. Walter was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hosford.
Survivors include his wife, Jeannette (Lollie) Joiner, of Hosford; three sons, Robert Joiner and wife, Polly, of Hosford, Raymond Joiner and wife, Pattie, of Hosford, and Randall Joiner and wife, Pam, of Dickerson, ND; four daughters, Ann Pullam and husband, Gill, of Hosford, Carol Jean Anderson and husband, Derrick, of Altha, Pam Wilson and husband, Gary, of Thomaston, GA, and Jennifer Dean and husband, Terry, of Valdosta, GA; one sister, Sallie Wise, of Clearwater, FL; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 10, at 11:00 am (EDT) at Wesleyan Chapel in Hosford with Pastor Aaron Elkins officiating. Interment will follow in Sanders Cemetery in Hosford. Mr. Richard E. (Dick) Pittman, Sr., 83, of Marianna, FL, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 2, 2016, in Marianna.
Dick was born on January 28, 1933, in Miami, FL, and had lived in Jackson County for the past 43 years. He worked in the forestry and lumber business until his retirement. Dick was a graduate of the University of Florida and was an avid Florida Gator Fan. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Marianna.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Pittman; daughter, Joyce Miller; son, Michael Pittman; and a grandson, Allan Miller.
Survivors include one son, Edward Pittman, and wife, Kay, of Blountstown; one daughter, Karen Lipford, and husband, Roland, of Marianna; and 11 grandchildren.

Trudie Newsom passed away Monday, August 1, 2016, in Blountstown at the age of 106.
She was born in Geneva, Alabama, May 4, 1910, to the late William L. and Mary (Morrell) Dickerson. Trudie was a homemaker and was a member of Blountstown First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, William and Mary Dickerson, she was preceded in death by her daughter, June Glass, and a great-grandson, Ren Glass.
Survivors include two sons, James Ferrell Newsom and his wife, Mary, of Grand Ridge, and Johnny Michael Newsom and his wife, Elma, of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Janice White and her husband, Bob, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Joan Martel and her husband, Troy, of Murphy, North Carolina; son-in-law, Freddie Glass, of Blountstown; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grand-children.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 5, at Adams Funeral Home. The service will follow immediately at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Jerry Chumley officiating. Interment will be in Poplar Head Free Will Baptist Cemetery near Chipley at 3:00 p.m.
