Mrs. Vivian Lucille (Thomas) Mears, 93, of Altha, FL, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016, in Blountstown.
Vivian was born on October 17, 1922, in Altha to James and Vera (Kearce) Thomas. Vivian was a homemaker. She was Salutatorian of the Altha graduating class of 1942. Vivian lived in Altha all of her life and was a member of Sunny Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church in Altha.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Mears; two daughters, Teresa Stilwell and Penny Franklin; and one brother, Paul Thomas.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Mears, of Blountstown, and Tim Mears and wife, Gail, of Altha; three daughters, Christine Sears and husband, Bob, of Milton, FL, Sharon Pollard and husband, Clark, of Wesley Chapel, FL, and Elizabeth Holland of Blountstown; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 28, at 11:00 am (CDT) at Sunny Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church in Altha with Robert Barton officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 28, from 10:00 am (until service time at 11:00 am (CDT) at Sunny Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church in Altha.

Born in Marianna, August 30, 1944, Connie was the daughter of the late Moses and Mary (Carter) Hill. She lived in Clarksville all of her life, was an Independent Agent of Stoutamire Insurance for over 10 years, and was the owner of Clarksville General Store for 23 years. She was a member of Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church in Clarksville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Jones.

James “Jimmy” Addis King, 71, of Telogia, Florida, went to rest in peace Wednesday, May 18, 2016, after a very long and courageous battle with cancer.
Jimmy was delivered into this world by a mid-wife August 25, 1944, at his home in Graceville, Florida, to the late Henry Addis and Evelyn (Hart) King. He worked as supervisor at Niagara Wires in Quincy for many years.
In addition to his parents, Henry and Evelyn King, Jimmy was preceded in death by a very treasured son, James (Keith) King; three brothers, J.D., Randolph, and Joe King; and a sister, Judy King.
Survivors include a loving son, Kenneth “Kenny” King, and his wife, Loretta; a very cherished grandson, Kenneth “Ken” King II; a granddaughter, Morgen Brown, and her fiancé, Chase Hill; and a great-grandson, Rhett Hill, all of Telogia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Rudolph Sims; her parents, Herbert and Irene Thomas; brothers, Glen and Jennings Thomas; sister, Alice Capps; and son-in-law, Russell Vickery, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, three children, and four grandchildren.
Born December 2, 1933, Ray was raised in Blountstown, FL, where he lived for 18 years, until his parents passed away very young and he joined the army. He was ordered and trusted to guard the Nukes in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and during this time he met his wife of 60 years. Ray moved to Orange County, CA, with his new wife in 1955. With only change in his pocket he started a new life and built his career as an architect. He designed many buildings around Southern California that still stand today. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects Orange County.
Raymond will be buried at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:15 PM on Thursday, May 19th.
