OBITUARY - Seay
Brenda Seay, age 71, of Blountstown went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 25, 2016. She was born September 20, 1944 in Quincy to the late Leon and Audrey (Flanders) Durham. Brenda was a Blountstown High School graduate Class of 1962 and was also homecoming queen that year. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority at Stetson University. Brenda was a homemaker and was very dedicated to her family and church. She played piano for adult assembly services, was an active member of Women’s Missionary Union and her Sunday school class at Blountstown First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of fifty years, Lynwood Seay; two sons, Steven Durham Seay and Jeffery Daniel Seay, and a sister, Hester Leonard.
The family will receive friends 9:30 a.m., Thursday, January 28 at Blountstown First Baptist Church and services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Rhoads officiating. Interment will be in Pine Memorial Cemetery.

Madie McMillan, age 103, of Blountstown passed away Monday, January 25 in Blountstown. Born in Robinsonville, Alabama, May 19, 1912, Madie was the daughter of the late Stephen Buroughs Troutman and Carrie Ella (Robinson) Troutman. She was a homemaker and was a member of Stockton Presbyterian Church in Stockton, Alabama.
Madie lived in Blountstown the last three years of her life.
In addition to her parents, Madie was preceded in death by her husband, John Murphy McMillan; a grandchild; three brothers, John Troutman, H. O. Troutman, and Dudley Troutman; two sisters, Clara Hinson and Lula T. Kilpatrick.
Survivors include three sons, John Murphy McMillan, Jr. and his wife, Kathryn of Montgomery, Alabama, Stephen Albert McMillan and his wife, Gayle of Gulf Shores, Alabama, and Philip Kyser McMillan and his wife, Suella of Blountstown; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pauline Cox, 94, of Blountstown passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016, in Blountstown.
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, July 2, 1921, Pauline was the daughter of the late Hiram Curtis and Suda May (Legg) Floyd. She lived most of her life in Blountstown and was Purchasing Agent for the Calhoun County School Board for many years. She was a member of Blountstown United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Monroe Cox, and an infant son, Daniel Monroe Cox, Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Cox and his wife, Peggy, and Gary Cox and his wife, Judy, of Blountstown; grandchildren, Steve Cox, Tracy Cox-Stanton and her husband, Scott, Eddie Cox, and Jennifer Grozdanoff and her husband, Brian; great-grandchildren, Tex Cox-Stanton, Johnny Cox-Stanton, Alex Cox, Kiera Cox, Anderson Cox, Ian Grozdanoff, and Alana Grozdanoff.
The family received friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24, at Adams Funeral Home. Services will be 3:30 p.m., Monday, January 25, at Blountstown United Methodist Church with Reverend Nicholas Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Ralph Fern White, 78, of Blountstown, FL, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016, in Graceville, FL.
Ralph was born on February 25, 1937, in Calhoun County to Broze White and Ada Belle (Lloyd) White and had lived here most of his life. He was a retired Master Chief with 22 years of service, proudly serving in the United States Navy during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was also owner of Whiteline Boats in Blountstown from 1980 until 1996. Ralph was a member of VFW and American Legion, former member of Blountstown Lions Club and the Iamonia Lake Hunting and Fishing Club. He was a 1955 graduate of Blountstown High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Blountstown.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Broze White and Ada Belle (Lloyd) White, and a sister, Ada Jane.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Jan White, of Blountstown; one son, Wayne White, and wife, Paige, of Blountstown; one daughter Rhonda Alexander and husband, Mike, of Cottonwood, AL; two brothers, George White of Blountstown, and David White and his wife, Sandra, of Blountstown; one sister, Joan Alderman, of Altha, FL; five grandchildren, Michael Alexander, Robbie Alexander, Paisley Alexander, Hayden White and Halston White; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 20, at 11:00 am (CST) at the First Baptist Church in Blountstown with Pastor Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown. Mrs. Virginia M. Newsome, 78, of the Frink Community, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016, in Panama City, FL.
Virginia was born on February 11, 1937, in the Frink Community to Peter McFarland and Lillie (Stockwell) McFarland. Virginia had lived in Calhoun County for all of her life. She was a teacher’s aide at Carr School for many years, and also worked with the Supervisor of Elections office. She was a member of the Baptist faith. She was a cheerleader for Frink School and graduated from Frink School in 1954.
Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, J.C. Newsome, of the Frink Community; one son, Terry Newsome, and wife, Rhonda, of the Frink Community; one daughter, Iva Watson, and husband, Bob, of Panama City; one brother, Ed Frank McFarland, of Port St. Joe, FL; one sister, Eunice Hill, and husband, Kelly, of Kinard, FL; four grandchildren, Jason Watson, Jessica Newsome, Ginnyfer Watson, and Kayla Tyus and husband, Ryan; one very special great-grandson, J.R. Tyus.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 20, at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 PM (CST) with Reverend Bill Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in McClellan Cemetery in Frink.
