OBITUARY - Donaldson
Ralph Nolan “Shorty” Donaldson, 78, of Blountstown, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015.
Born in Bonifay, Florida, September 12, 1937, Shorty was the son of the late Willie Wallace and Grace (Birmingham) Donaldson. He was a graduate of Holmes County High School and proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Shorty was a retired Wildlife Officer for Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission and was a member of Iamonia Lake Hunting and Fishing Club. He was a member of Blountstown First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Donna Marie Donaldson.
Survivors include two sons, James A. “Jim” Donaldson of Pensacola, Florida, and Timothy N. “Tim” Donaldson and his wife, Ramsey, of Brunswick, Georgia; his daughter, Kim Milligan, and her husband, Joe, of Blountstown; five grandchildren, Kyndal Williams, Annika Milligan, Ian Milligan, Andrew Donaldson, and Nicholas “Cole” Donaldson; three great-grandchildren, Rylea, Caisen, and Lakynn Williams; two sisters, Anita Chilcutt and her husband, Dick, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Leslie Boling and her husband, Harold, of Albany, Georgia; one step-great-granddaughter, Rosa Waldron; and two nephews, Jeff and Keith Chilcutt.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 29, at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Blountstown First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at City of Bonifay Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

OBITUARY - Simpson
Edwina Marie Simpson of Blountstown passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015.
Born in Tallahassee, Marie was the daughter of Robert and Edwina (Kirkpatrick) Harvell. A true Seminole, she graduated from Florida State University with a Master’s degree in Social Work and enjoyed her career with Liberty County Health and Rehabilitation Service until her retirement. Marie was a loving, involved mother to her three sons (Cub Scout den mother, Webelos leader, band parent, and church handbell choir parent). She served three terms on the Panhandle Public Library Cooperative System, was a member of Blountstown First Baptist Church and a member of the church’s BALL Club (Be Active Live Longer). She was an avid reader and gardener.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Halley (Jackie) Simpson.
Survivors include three sons, David Simpson of Blountstown, Bill Simpson and his wife, Andrea, of Tallahassee, and Steve Simpson of Huntsville, Alabama; three grandchildren, Stevie, Will, and A.J.; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Wingfield, of Falls Church, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Thursday, October 22, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at First Baptist Church, 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, with Pastor Tim Rhoads officiating. Interment will follow in Boggs Cemetery in Blountstown.
