Frances Juliuett “Judy” Padgett, 71, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015, in Lubbock.
Born in Bainbridge, Georgia, April 17, 1944, Judy was the daughter of George Reit and Laura (Faircloth) Merkison. She was the Safety Director for C.A. Tucker Trucking in Lubbock.
Other than her parents, George and Laura Merkison, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Merkison, and a grandchild, Morgan.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph A. Padgett; sons, Greg Parker and his wife, Tracy, of Yale, Oklahoma, and Ralph Padgett, Jr. of Lubbock; three daughters, Janet Hunter of Rose Hill, North Carolina, Lisa Merkison of Tallahassee, and Laura Glenn of Lubbock; seven grandchildren, Pat, April, Junior, Gregory, Scott, Josh, and Shelby; two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Addison; two brothers, George Merkison of Tallahassee and Jack Merkison of Malone; and a sister, Wanda Padgett, of Canton, Georgia.
The family will receive friends at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 23, at Adams Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Willie Earnest officiating. Interment will follow in Nettle Ridge Cemetery.

Phillip Wayne Vaughn, 43, of Altha, passed away Monday, September 21, 2015.
Born in Austell, Georgia, May 17, 1972, Phillip was the son of Billy Wayne and Teresa (Lowrey) Vaugh. He was a welder and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jessie Wayne Vaughn.
Survivors include his parents, Billy Wayne and Teresa Vaughn, of Greensboro; his wife, Lisa Ann (Tucker) Vaughn, of Altha; a son, Stevie Ray Vaughn, of Altha; three daughters, Dana Myrick and her husband, Chris, of Altha, Dina Ann Trant and her husband, Travis, of Marianna, and Taylor Renee Vaughn of Altha; grandchildren, Chipper Wayne Rudd and soon to be grandson, William Dyson Trant; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Memorialization will be by cremation.

Armond Brady “A. B.” Traylor, 83, of Wewahitchka, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015.
Born in Marianna, December 13, 1931, A.B. was the son of the late Leo and Fannie (Dykes) Traylor. He was one of nine children. A.B. moved to Gulf County in the early 1960’s and became a successful businessman. He owned and operated Traylor Logging Company, Burgess Creek Landing, The Dalkeith Store and a roadside produce stand. A.B. was an avid farmer and grew the best watermelons in Gulf County.
He was active in Gulf County politics and served as County Commissioner from 1984 to 1988. A.B. was honest, plain spoken, and you knew where he stood on important issues. He will be remembered best for his generosity, humor and his colorful personality. A.B. had many friends and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Other than his parents, Leo and Fannie Traylor, he was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Lois Traylor; his son, Michael Traylor; brothers, L.B. Traylor, James Traylor and Leon Traylor; and two sisters, Kate Hansford and Carol Foster.
Survivors include two sons, Billy Traylor (Jan) and Tommy Traylor and his wife, Cindy; daughter, Linda Jo Chumney, and her husband, Mike; six grandchildren, Champion Traylor, Rocky Traylor, Jana Barfield and her husband, Eli, Kayla Bailey and husband, Chad, Austin Chumney and Presley Stripling; four great-grandchildren, Skylar and Brady Barfield, and Cole and Caden Bailey; and three sisters, Mag Fort, Betty Harrison and Norma Tindel. He is also survived by his special canine companion, Little Man.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. CT, Sunday, September 20, at First United Pentecostal Church, 619 Hwy. 71 South in Wewahitchka. Interment will follow in Roberts Cemetery also in Wewahitchka. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church one hour before the service.

Mr. Kenneth “Bigun” Alderman, 66, of Wewahitchka, FL, passed away following an extended illness early Tuesday morning, September 15, 2015, at his home.
Kenneth was born on June 27, 1949, in Bay County, FL, and had lived in Wewahitchka since 1972, coming from Blountstown. He worked with the Gulf County Road Department as a motor grader operator for 22 years. Kenny was a hard worker, avid outdoorsman, a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Mildred (Capps) Alderman, and a brother, Jack Alderman.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Alderman, of Wewahitchka; two sons, Robert Alderman and his wife, Joyce, of Wewahitchka, and Adam Alderman and his wife, Rhonda, of Wewahitchka; two daughters, Barbara Alderman and spouse, Justin Body, of Wewahitchka, and Emily Alderman of Wewahitchka; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Alderman and his wife, June, of Panama City, FL, and Bobby Alderman and his wife, Peggy, of Jennings, FL.
