Mr. Dale D. Kent, 52, of Kinard, FL, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL.
Dale was born on March 18, 1963, in Hartford, AL. He lived in the Oak Grove Community in Calhoun County for most of his life. He was a retired pipefitter, plumber and welder. Dale attended Haney Vocational School for plumbing but his specialty was in welding. He proudly served in the United States Navy for four years. Dale was a loving son, father and grandfather; he enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons. He also enjoyed fishing on the Dead Lakes and restoring antique vehicles. Dale had a passion for Indian artifacts and had an extensive collection of Indian Arrowheads.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Edward Kent; stepfather, Robert Keel; and a brother, Randall Kent.
Survivors include his mother, Delphia Kent Keel, of the Oak Grove Community; two daughters, Ashley Tarantino and her husband, Stephen, of Kinard, and Haley Kent of Wewahitchka, FL; two brothers, Darrell Kent of the Oak Grove Community and Rex Kent and his wife, Ann, of Bristol, FL; two sisters, Brenda Sumner of Tallahassee, FL, and Wendy Deckerhoff and her husband, Emerson, of Quincy, FL; and two grandchildren, Branton Tarantino and Jace Kent.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 30, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Memorialization will be by cremation.

Jay Weldon Parrish, 33, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015 at his home. Born January 22, 1982, in Panama City, Jay was the son of Weldon D. and Sheila (Smith) Parrish. He was a graduate of the Blountstown High School Class of 2000 and was a member of Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church in Clarksville. Jay was a correctional officer at Calhoun County Correction Institution and played lead guitar for two bands, Stray Bullet and Burn this Down.
Jay was preceded in death by his grandfathers, J. B. Smith of Clarksville and Durward Parrish of Red Oak; and a cousin, Chad Parrish.
He is survived by his wife, Blair Bozeman Parrish, and step-daughter, Bailee Rae; his father, Weldon Parrish, of Red Oak; his mother, Sheila Parrish, of Clarksville; his brothers, Cody Parrish of Red Oak and Kyle Parrish and his fiancé, Samantha Culpepper, of Red Oak; his grandparents, LaVaughn Smith of Clarksville and Gwen and Houston Deese of Red Oak; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Born on July 29, 1926, at Cypress, Florida, she lived most of her life in Donaldsonville, Louisiana.
Survivors include siblings, Jessie Mae Ayers Price and Abbye Ayers Faurot, of Blountstown; four children, Sandra Roundy, James Dykes, Thomas Dykes, and Mike Dykes; 11 Grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jessie J. Dykes; parents, Jesse McKinley and Allie Mae Ayers; infant siblings, twin brother, Carrol, infant sisters, Barbara and Elizabeth, and brothers, James McKinnon Ayers, Herbert Spencer Ayers, William A. Survivors include her son, Billy Hilton, of Blountstown; daughter, Debra Hilton, of Altha; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Cecil Bell, Jr., of Mt. Carmel, Tennessee; a sister, Ruby Haynes, of Churchill, Tennessee; her step-son, Mark Grepke, and step-daughter, Deborah Syndram, both of Illinois.

Gerald was born on December 22, 1942, in Bay County, FL, and had lived in Grand Ridge since 1987, coming from Forest, MS. He worked with International Paper Co. for over 30 years as an auditor. Gerald received his Bachelors of Science degree in accounting from Florida State University. Gerald was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving in the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Mack Skipper and Pearl “Warren” Skipper; brother, Charles Skipper; and half-brother, Ray Warren.
