Dallas Brooks Cook
Mr. Dallas Brooks Cook, 83, of Blountstown, FL, passed away early Saturday morning, August 23, 2014, in Blountstown.
Brooks was born in Calhoun County on July 18, 1931, and had lived here all of his life. He was a retired paper maker with St. Joe Paper Company with 39 years of service. He was a member of the Grumpy Old Men’s Club and served in several positions in his Church.
Brooks was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby (Bryant) Cook; two brothers, Edward Cook and Max Cook; and a sister, Margaret Burch.
Brooks was a member of the Bristol Pentecostal Holiness Church in Bristol, FL.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Cook, of Blountstown; two daughters, Debbie White and her husband, George, of Altha, and Regina Bailey and her husband, Jimbo, of Lynn Haven, FL; three brothers, Tommy Cook and his wife, Sandra, of Blountstown, Donnie Cook and his wife, Roberta, of Tampa, FL, and Richard Cook and his wife, Syble, of Marianna, FL; three sisters, Agnes Hunt and her husband, Jack, of Dothan, AL, Hazel Johnson and her husband, Larry, of Atlanta, GA, and Helen Alvarez of Tampa, FL; six grandchildren, Jodi Findeisen and her husband, Micah, Brooke Hall and her husband, Ben, Jacob White and Joshua White, Cayla Davis and her husband, Neil, and Camren Coxwell and his wife, Hope; and six great-grandchildren, Anna Jo Hall, Madalyn Hall, Anistyn Davis, Sadie Coxwell, Cole Price and Ryan Price.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 25, at 3:00 pm (CDT) at the Bristol Pentecostal Holiness Church with Reverend Coy Collins and Reverend David Goodman officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown. The family will receive friends Monday, August 25, from 2:00 pm (CDT) until service time at 3:00 pm (CDT) at the Bristol Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Covenant Hospice, 4215 Kelson Ave. Suite E, Marianna, FL 32446.
