Phyllis A. Cauley, 67, of Altha, Florida, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014, in Tallahassee, Florida.
Phyllis was a member of Glory Hill Community Church where she was choir director and Sunday school teacher. She was also involved with the Calhoun County Public Library Blountstown Branch where she worked in the Volunteers in Service to America, a family literacy program, from 1997 to 2000. She then worked the circulation desk in the library until her retirement in 2008.
Preceding her in death was her father, Marcus J. McGouirk, and her sister, Mary Edna Hill.
Survivors include her mother, Dorothy L. (Head) Champion, of Austell, Georgia; her husband, Charles, of Altha; her sons, John E. Holmes and his wife, Betty, Lamar Holmes and his wife, Kim, Keith Cauley and his wife, Shelia, Travis Cauley and his wife, April, all of Altha, and Trent Cauley and his wife, Kathy, of Blountstown, Florida; her daughter, Shaleen Murray, and her husband, Bobby, of Blountstown; 23 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her brother, Daniel McGouirk, and his wife, Barbara, of Wedowee, Alabama; her sister, Violet Smith, and her husband, Julian, of Austell; her friends, Elsie Cauley of Blountstown and Shirley Williams of Scotts Ferry; her church family; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, at Glory Hill Community Church in Altha. Funeral services will also be in the church at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26, with Reverend Riley Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Memorial Cemetery near Blountstown.

In Fe's worldwide travels, she developed many lasting friendships, especially those in Altha, Tuscaloosa, Fort Polk, and Guam.
Fe is proceeded in death by her father Jose Banua Langas, of Santa Rita, Guam; mother, Anistina Guzman Langas, of Santa Rita, Guam; brother Joseph Langas, of Santa Rita, Guam; and sister, Vicenta Daniel (Estanislao Daniel deceased) of Santa Rita, Guam.

Mr. Henry Clyde Waldron, age 89, of Clarksville, Florida passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at his home. Mr. Henry was born in Arcadia, Florida, July 20, 1924 to the late Mack and Elvie (Hagans) Waldron. He was a retired logger and was a member of Word of Truth Church in Blountstown, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Clyde Waldron.

Mrs. Etta Mae Taylor, 83, died on April 21, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.
Etta Mae was born on August 11, 1930, in Calhoun County, Florida, the daughter of the late Lemuel and Leila (Pitts) Smith. She was predeceased by her husband, Blanchard “Cooter” Taylor; daughter, Mary Ann Taylor Harrison; sisters: Bernice Taylor, Sybil Tabor, and Verna Bradley; and brothers: Raymond and Harry Smith.
Etta is survived by her daughters: Norma (Ray) Salis of Tallahassee, and Betty (Ellis) Nichols of Clarksville; son, Jim Taylor of Scotts Ferry; son-in-law, Chick Harrison, of Lafayette, Louisiana; brother, Willard (Linda) Smith, of Blountstown; and sister, Erma Smith Walden, of Blountstown.
Etta Mae is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Michelle Harrison, Traci Harrison Melacon, Rhonda (Keith) Harrison Savoy, Kim Harrison Storms, Tonya (Chad) Salis Martin, Pete Salis, Taylor (Linda) Salis, Shana Taylor Carson, Jamie Taylor, Gina (Will) Frye Miller, Claudia Nichols Newsome, and Bart Nichols; 17 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren with another one due in May 2014.

Harry was born on June 6, 1936 in Young Harris, Georgia, and had lived in Blountstown since 1989, coming from Perry, FL. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany. Harry started his educational pursuit in journalism and broadcasting at University of Georgia and graduated from Loyola University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Harry and his wife Cathy have owned and operated WYBT and WPHK Radio Station in Blountstown. Prior to that, Harry managed radio and television stations in South Carolina, Ohio, Washington, D.C. and New York. He attended Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blountstown.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Hagan, of Blountstown; children, Harry Hagan III, Diane Hagan Scherff and Christine Hagan of Florida and Lee Anne Hagan of South Carolina; and grandchildren, Brandon and Savannah Scherff of Florida, and Lance and Landon Hagan of South Carolina.
Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, April 22, at 4:00 pm (CDT) at Saint Francis of Assisi of Catholic Church with Father Chuck Collins officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.

Survivors include his wife, Helen (Lolley) Land, of Kinard; three sons, Charles Miles and his wife, Brook Ann, of Kinard, Steve Miles and his wife, Imogene, of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Jeff Miles and his wife, Denise, of Panama City, Florida; two daughters, Debbie Kemp and her husband, Franklin, of Kinard and Jeanie Miles of Panama City; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Stella Burnham of Chiefland, Florida, Myrtle Irving of Panama City and Betty Cloud and her husband, James, of Grand Ridge, Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 19, at 2:00 pm (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Varnes officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. The family will receive friends Friday, April 18, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home.

OBITUARY - Finuff
Hollis Earl “Buddy” Finuff, 64, of Bristol, Florida passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, in Hosford, Florida.
Buddy was born in Mt. Pleasant, Florida, May 26, 1949, to the late Franklin Otis and Mary Esta (Ware) Finuff. He was a farmer and also a foreman for Liberty County Road and Bridge Department. Buddy was of the Baptist faith.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Donnie Mae (Coon) Finuff; his brother, John Harvey Finuff; and his sister, Catherine Faulkner.
Survivors include his son, Lamar Finuff and his wife, Chasity, of Hosford, and adopted son, Timothy Finuff, of Bristol; his step-son, Robert Lee Smith, of Tallahassee, Florida; two step-daughters, Barbara Schroll of Perry, Florida, and JoAnn Henning of Alaska and an adopted daughter, Shelly Arellano, of Perry; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Finuff, and his wife, Carol of Altha, Florida; and a sister, Marion Christjansen, and her husband, David, of Atlanta, Georgia.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 ET, Thursday, April 17, at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown, Florida. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. ET, Friday, April 18, at Hosford Cemetery with Reverend Arthur Wood officiating.
