Lucy Mae Abbott, 89, of Blountstown passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in Blountstown.
Mrs. Lucy was born May 31, 1924, to the late Acey and Martha (Adkins) Abbott. She worked in the Blountstown Coin Laundry for over 30 years and she was of the Pentecostal faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a daughter, Rita Todd; two brothers, William Abbott and Bill Abbott; two sisters, Sara Frances Taylor and Carrie Tucker.
Survivors include her son-in-law, Red Todd, of Port St. Joe, Florida; grandchildren, Mike Todd of Eastpoint, Florida, and Greg Todd of Port St. Joe; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Sonny Abbott, and wife, Joanne, of Tallahassee, Florida; a sister, Ida Silva, of Apalachicola, Florida; a special niece, Cristle Taylor, of Blountstown; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The family received friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, at Adams Funeral Home. The funeral followed immediately at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Glenn Davis officiating. Interment was at Pine Memorial Cemetery.
