Mary Janice Branch, 68, of Grand Ridge, FL, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 28, 2014, at her home.
Janice was born on October 2, 1946, in Altha, FL, and had lived in Calhoun and Jackson Counties for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church in Grand Ridge.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Carl B. Branch; parents, James E. Bodiford and Carrean (Young) Bodiford; brother, Leon Bodiford; and sister, Betty Cody.
Survivors include two sons, Greg Branch of Grand Ridge, and Randy Branch and his wife, Mona, of Le Raysville, PA; one daughter, Shelia Rogers, and her husband, Clark, of Tallahassee, FL; one brother, Carroll Bodiford, of Altha; two sisters, Faye Bailey and Margaret Warren, both of Blountstown, FL; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1, at 11:00 am (CST) at Shady Grove Methodist Church with Reverend Raymond Owens officiating. She was born to Lucious and Cecil Lawrence January 7, 1933, in Geneva, AL. She married her husband, the love of her life, Jerry C. Harrell, on March 7, 1951 in Bainbridge, GA. They lived in numerous places over their almost 63 years of marriage, including 23 years when Jerry was in the Navy, returning to live in Altha in 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucious and Cecil Lawrence; one brother, Clarence Lawrence; and her twin sister, Armeta Miller.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; two children, Wayne Harrell and wife, Andrea, and Sheryl Marques and husband, Edward; four grandchildren, Lia, Jessica, Nicole and Edward, Jr.; four great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Edna Ruth Shiver, Dorothy Prescott and husband, James, Vicki Tonda and husband, Jim.

A native of the Shady Grove community in Grand Ridge, Mrs. Adams was born in Jackson County. After graduating from Grand Ridge High School, she worked for the telephone company in Tallahassee. In 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, Royce H. Adams, who then joined the United States Air Force. During their life together, they resided in Savannah, Georgia, the Canal Zone in the country of Panama, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Panama City, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Royce H. Adams; her father, Mr. Charles "Charlie" Clifford Robbirds; her mother, Mrs. Essie Louise Robbirds; and her brothers, Mr. Roy Clifford Robbirds and Mr. Charles Clayton Robbirds.
Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Jan Lambert, of Shady Grove, FL; her brother, Mr. James L. "Woody" Robbirds, of Sneads, FL; her son, Mr. Charles D. Adams, of Navarre, FL; her daughter, Mrs. V.
