Imogene Burkett Bontrager, 55, of Marianna, Florida, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 26, 2013.
Imogene was born October 21, 1957, and raised in Blountstown, Florida, by her parents Grady and Lovie Burkett. She graduated from Blountstown High School in 1975. In 1976 she married her high school sweetheart, Daniel Bontrager. She was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her children and a large extended family. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, traveling, and raising deer on the family farm.
Imogene was preceded in death by her father, Grady Burkett. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Daniel; her daughter, Mandy Bontrager Brewer and husband, John Brewer; a son, Travis Bontrager; her mother, Lovie Burkett; and her siblings, Gregory Burkett, Volena Barfield, Delores McDougald, and Lawana McDonald.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, July 29, 2013, at Evangel Worship Center in Marianna, Florida, with Pastor LaVon Pettis officiating. Burial will follow at Nettle Ridge Cemetery in Blountstown, Florida, with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family received family and friends from 4:00 - 6:00 PM on Sunday, July 28, at Evangel Worship Center, 2645 Pebble Hill Road, Marianna, Florida 32448.

Bobbie was born on February 1, 1933, in Wewahitchka and had lived there most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Methodist faith.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Husband, and a sister, Opal Stevens.
Survivors include one son, Thomas Bruce Husband, and his wife, Carolyn, of Wewahitchka; one daughter, Linda Joyce Husband, of Wewahitchka; one brother, Thomas Ford, and his wife, Cookie, of Jacksonville; one sister, Ann Suber, and her husband, Billy, of Wewahitchka; four grandchildren, William Todd Lawrence, Laura Suber, Sarah Lawrence, and Taylor Husband; three great-grandchildren, Laila Suber, Pierce Lawrence and Landon Suber.

Joseph Wade Earnest of Hosford, Florida, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, at the age of 70.
Wade was born in Recovery, Georgia, but lived most of his life in Hosford. He was retired as custodian of Hosford School where he served for 16 years. His favorite pastime was hunting and fishing. Wade attended Telogia Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Joseph Malcom Earnest.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Earnest, of Hosford; two sons, Danny E. Earnest and wife, Wendy, of Hosford, and Ronald W. Earnest and wife, Amy, also of Hosford; two daughters, Nina L. Moore and husband, Craig, of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Krystle L. Ross and husband, Michael, of Bristol, Florida; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; his mother, Opal Neely, of Hosford; two brothers, Eugene Earnest of Hosford and Gerald Jones and wife, Linda, also of Hosford; two sisters, Hazel Pullam and husband, J.R., of Hosford and Dorothy Carroll of Bainbridge, Georgia; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Wilford Monroe Deason of Bristol, Florida passed away Friday, July 12, 2013 at the age of ninety-one. Wilford was a lifelong resident of Bristol and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was also a member of the Lion’s Club, a Mason in Dixie Lodge 109 F&AM, and a member of the American Legion in Hosford, Florida. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Air Force. Wilford served as Liberty County Property Appraiser for twenty-four years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Abram and Julia Ethel (Peters) Deason, a brother Ralph Deason, sisters Lottie Peddie, Elsie Strickland and Lessie Revell.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Thelma of Bristol; a son, Michael (Dale) of Bristol; two daughters, Charis Thompson (Jack) of Gainesville, Florida and Sheila Shelton (Lamar) of Altha, Florida; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a brother Carlos Deason (Ivaleen)of Quincy, Florida.
His love for his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as his community was evident to everyone he encountered. He was a hardworking man of integrity who also enjoyed gardening and cheering on the Florida Gators and he was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET, Monday, July 15 at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. ET, Tuesday, July 16 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bristol with Bishop Buddy Money officiating. Interment will follow.
