Mr. Jimmy McClellan, 69, of Blountstown, FL, passed away early Friday morning, May 24, 2013, at his home.
Jimmy was born on Feb. 25, 1944 in Altha, FL, and had lived in Calhoun County for most of his life. He was a retired corrections officer with the State of Florida with 14 years of service. He was a 1962 graduate of Blountstown High School and was a member of the 1962 State Champion Basketball Team. Jimmy was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. He was of the Protestant Faith.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Linda (Bamburg) McClellan, of Blountstown; a son, Frank McClellan, and partner, Arnie, and their two sons, Michael and Roman, of St. Petersburg, FL; a sister, Julia Roberts, and her husband, Charles, of Holly Hill, FL; a niece and nephew, Terry Ann Riale and her husband, Angelo, and Steve Roberts and his wife, Joanie, of the Daytona area; a great niece and nephew, Nicole Riale of Atlanta and A.J. Riale of Daytona; two stepdaughters, Valerie Nelson and her husband, Mike, of Navarre, FL, Barbara and Joe Lewis of Keithville, LA; grandchildren, Chloe and Will Nelson; Joseph and Jordan Lewis; a sister-in-Law, Sherry Upshaw, of Bossier City, LA; and a brother-in-Law, Steve Bamburg, and spouse, Donna, of Caushatta, LA.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 1, at 10:00 am (CDT) at Gateway Baptist Church in Blountstown with Reverend Roger King officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. Bill was born on February 6, 1928, in Jackson County and had lived in Calhoun County for most of his life. He was a retired commercial and residential contractor and carpenter. During his many years, Bill constructed hundreds of homes and apartment buildings. He also worked on the Capital Building in Tallahassee, W.T. Neal Civic Center in Blountstown and the Jai Alai building in Chattahoochee. Bill gave numerous young men in our community their first jobs working in construction to earn money and build good character. Bill had a love for farming the land and watching it grow. He was a 1947 graduate of Blountstown High School and was a Veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy. Bill was a member of the First Baptist Church in Blountstown.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Ayers; son, Billy Ayers; brother, Herbert Spencer Ayers; and sister, Katherine Smith.
Survivors include one son, Spencer Ayers, and his wife, Pam, of Blountstown; one daughter, Cynthia Aultman, and her husband, Jimmy, of Blountstown; one brother, James M. She served in the United States Navy during World War II and later retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company where she worked as a long distant operator. Ruth was a born again Christian who dedicated her life to helping others and telling them about Jesus. She was a member of Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church in Clarksville, Florida, where she taught Sunday School, helped in prison ministry, and also was a volunteer at the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold and Carl; and sisters, Gertrude, Pauline, Helen and Dorothy.
Survivors include two sons, Patrick Mullin of Blountstown and Timothy Mullin of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Charolette Januse, of Altha, Florida; two grandchildren; and a brother, Roger Ketelhut, of Wanawa, Wisconsin.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 12, at 4:00 pm (CDT) at the Blountstown Church of God with Sister Patsy Folks officiating. Interment followed in Red Oak Cemetery near Blountstown.

Robert was born on November 27, 1952, in Mt. Eagle, TN, and had lived in Blountstown since 1986, coming from Eustis, FL. He worked at several different jobs throughout his working years and was a member of the Church of God faith.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lucille Meeks, and two brothers, Jeff Meeks and Wesley Meeks.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Meeks, of Blountstown; two sons, Robert C. Meeks, Jr. and his girlfriend, Melissa Martin, of Blountstown, and Travis W. Meeks and spouse, Sam Richardson, of Altha; one daughter, Hope C. Julius “Dick” Kemp, 96, of Altha, Florida, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013, in Panama City, Florida.
He was born in Sneads, Florida, January 28, 1917, to the late Devo and Bertha Lee (Dykes) Kemp. He served in the United States Air Force for twenty-one years in munitions and security.
Survivors include his wife, Grace, of Altha; a step-son, Roy Klewer, of Mundelein, Illinois; and a step-daughter, Joy Ann Klewer, of Altha.
A private service will be held at a later date.

William Goree Odom of Live Oak, Florida passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 in Live Oak. William was born September 27, 1944 in Quincy, Florida to the late Homer Goree and Lavonia Ruby (Larkins) Odom. He was a graduate of Liberty County High School and served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1964.William was a dedicated maintenance supervisor for Gold Kist and his favorite pastime was hunting and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a son, Billy Odom and his wife Michelle of West Virginia; a daughter, Kim Tanner and husband Warren of Blountstown, Florida; five grandchildren, Logan and Jared Odom and Brett, Colby, and Hope Tanner; brothers, Lamar Odom and wife Linda of Lake City, Florida, Jessie Odom of Telogia, Florida, and Goree Odom of Blountstown; sisters, Myrlene Carson and husband Lewis D. of Bristol, Florida and Lois Odom also of Bristol; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. ET, Thursday, May 16 at Lake Mystic Cemetery. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. ET with Reverend David Goodman officiating and with full military honors.

Wayne was born on September 22, 1945, in Chipley, FL, and had lived in Eastpoint for the past 12 years, coming from Telogia, FL. He had worked for Eastern Marine in Panama City for several years and worked as a jeweler for a number of years. Wayne was of the Protestant faith.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes Wolfgang.
Survivors include one son, William Dewayne Sizemore, and wife, Michelle, of Panama City; three daughters, Cindy King of Panama City, DeeDee Gibson and her husband, Scott, of Crawfordville, FL, and Kendell Sizemore of Panama City; four brothers, W.G. During his working life, he worked in construction, for the Florida Division of Forestry and was a repo man. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving in the United States Navy Seabees. Butch was a member of the Word of Truth UPC Church in Blountstown, FL.
Survivors include his wife, Joy Pointer, of Fountain; two sons, Bo Pointer and his wife, Susan, of Hiland Park, FL, and Stephen Pointer and his wife, Jane, of Callaway, FL; two brothers, Buck Pointer and his wife, Jan, of Lyons, GA, and Bud Pointer of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and two grandchildren, Julia Pointer and Shiloh Pointer.
