Sheila Harrell Blackburn has filed her letter of intent to run for Calhoun County Supervisor of Elections. She will run with no party affiliation. Blackburn will face incumbent Margie Laramore (NPA) in November, along with the winner of the democratic primary between Sharon Chason and Sky Scott.

The above individuals were booked into the Calhoun or Liberty County Jail over the past week. Although they have been charged with a crime, they are considered innocent until proven guilty.
Earl Hunt, a mechanic and former Calhoun County commissioner from Altha, has filed his intent to run for sheriff. He is running with no party affiliation. He will face James "Jimmy" Baggett and Ken Futch, both running NPA, in November. Roman Wood is running on the democratic ticket.
