Mr. Rudolph J. Rackley, age 88, of Altha, FL passed away Thursday, December, 29, 2011 in Blountstown. Rudolph was born on January 10, 1923 in Calhoun County and had lived here all of his life. He was a retired farmer, educator and coach of high school athletics in the AAU organization. Rudolph received his BS degree from the University of Florida majoring in Agriculture Education. He was widely known for his athleticism and his love with anything associated with the University of Florida. Rudolph was preceded in death by his parents, Jay W. Rackley and Floy Branton Rackley. He was a member of the Altha United Methodist Church in Altha.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 2:00 pm (CST) from the Altha United Methodist Church in Altha, FL with Reverend John King officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 4:00 pm (CST) until 6:00 pm (CST) at Peavy Funeral Home. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
