The Blountstown Tigers won the district championship and finished 6-4 in the regular season after an overtime thrilling victory over Lafayette County last week. Friday night at Bowles Field the BlountstownTigers took on the Chipley Tigers who were runnersup in their district to Holmes County in a rematch to move on in the playoffs. Chipley had won the regular season game in Chipley 16-7.

BHS Tiger Booster Chef Garry Futch is cookin' tonight and chili is on the menu! Come out to Bowles Field and warm up with a cup for just $3. Chili is available with or without beans. Add $1 if you'd like tea, coffee or hot cocoa. The Tigers will be taking on Chipley in the first round of the playoffs with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. The chili will be ready before the game so come out a little early and enjoy, then cheer on the Tigers! If you can't stay for the game, take some chili home and support the Tiger Boosters.
The Blountstown Lady Tigers are working their way toward state with a regional finals match Saturday. The Lady Tigers will go up against the Sneads Lady Pirates at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, in Sneads. Come out Saturday and cheer on the Lady Tigers!! The winner will earn a spot in the final four and head for Kissimmee Tuesday for the 1A state playoffs, going up against the winner of the Baker v. Freeport game at 10 a.m. The 1A championship is set for Wednesday at 4 p.m.
The Blountstown Tigers needed a win in Greensboro to clinch the Class 1A District 4 Championship and avoid a three way playoff. Relying on a defense that has played like champions all season, the Tigers kept West Gadsden out of the endzone the entire game and held on for a 13-6 victory.
