Swamp & Stomp Mud Run Set for Saturday

Calhoun County Chamber’s first Swamp & Stomp Mud Run is Saturday, Sept. 24th at the Altha Recreation Park. More than 100 people have registered with over half traveling more than 50 miles to participate. Spectators are invited to come enjoy the mud run show!

There is no charge to watch.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Adults will run at 8 a.m., followed by kids at 10. Although the registration deadline ended a few days ago, late registration will be permitted, however, t-shirts are not guaranteed for those entering late. Registration fee: Adults - $40; Kids ages 5 to 14 - $15; Adult Teams – individual fee applies to each team member/all members of team must cross the finish line together. The Swamp & Stomp is a 5K-ish run, with an added bonus of down and dirty obstacles thrown in for good measure! Similar races are held in Atlanta, Tampa, and Orlando, and draw crowds from all across the country.
