A local man has been busted for growing marijuana.
David Todd, 49, has been charged with cultivating cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to a report filed by Florida Wildlife Commission (FWC) Officer Scott Cassels, he and Lt. Mark Clements were on foot patrol on the west side of Calhoun County Tuesday afternoon when they came upon 10 cannabis plants in a wooded area east of Clifford Cain Road. The FWC officers heard someone walking their way, crouched down and spotted a man, later identified as Todd, holding a knife in one hand and two freshly cut marijuana plants in the other.
Todd was taken into custody and reportedly admitted to growing the plants. He voluntary showed the officer several plants in his trailer, as well as two marijuana pipes, rolling papers and a can containing less than 20 grams of cannabis. A total of 15 plants were seized.
