Congratulations to the Benders Baseball 10-U team for a great 2008-2009 year.
The Benders Baseball team was invited to participate in the World Series opening ceremonies at Frank Brown Park on Panama City Beach with 108 more teams where they marched in a player parade through Pier Park and were presented their Points Champion Cup for the 10-U division. They are the winners of the overall GrandSlam points champion cup as well as being points champions in the State of Alabama.
This group of kids play in the tri-state area competing with teams from Florida, Georgia and Alabama. The Benders played 8 tournaments in the spring where they won 4 and had two top 3 finishes and played an additional 6 tournaments in the fall where they were runner-up in three of those tournaments.
We are very proud of this 10-U team that is now moving to the 11-U age group. They play with all the qualities we look for in a competitive team including integrity and sportsmanship!! Go, Benders Baseball, and good luck in the 2009-2010 season!!
