NEWS ALERT: Another Meth Arrest

Meth arrests continue in our community with another local man busted Monday night in Blountstown.
Lewis David Carson III, 35, has been charged with possession of meth, less than 20 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as violation of an injunction.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office, Sgt. Jared Nichols pulled Carson over for speeding and weaving on SR 71 near Hayes Subdivision. Cpl. Eddie Dalton deployed his K-9, Gina, and the dog alerted to drugs being in the vehicle. A search turned up digital scales with meth residue, burnt tinfoil, a partially burnt marijuana cigarette, rolling papers, plastic baggies, and hollowed out pens with white powder residue, along with $850 in cash. Several rifle rounds were also found, which violated an injunction for protection against Carson prohibiting him from possessing firearms.
