Mr. David Daniel Summerlin, 46, of Tallahassee, FL, and a former resident of Blountstown, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2011, in Quincy, FL.
David was born on November 19, 1964, in Wewahitchka, FL, and had lived in Tallahassee for the past seven years, coming from Marianna. He was a member of the Baptist Faith.
David was preceded in death by his father, Doug Summerlin; sister, Mary Jane Summerlin; aunt and uncle, Ann and Larry Wolf; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; grandparents, Roger and Lucy Adkins, and Dan and Maybelle Summerlin.
Survivors include his wife, Shannon Summerlin, of Tallahassee; mother and stepfather, Louise and Doug Wommack, of Havana; stepmother, Kathy Summerlin, of Wewahitchka; son, Darin Summerlin, of Altha; four daughters, Vicky Caseltanos and her husband, Bert, of Whiteville, NC, Cassandria Parnell of Tallahassee, FL, Alexandria Thompson of Tallahassee, and Mary Jane Summerlin of Tallahassee; one brother, Sammy Stewart, and his wife, Brandi, of Tallahassee; three sisters, Misty Holcomb and her husband, Kyle, of Hosford, Brandi Bunkley of Bristol, and Hadley Adkins and her husband, Jim Frank, of Wewahitchka; one granddaughter, Jennifer Caseltanos, of Whiteville, NC; children he was there for and loved, Katie Brainerd, Gina Fritz, Kayla Hough, Hannah Reed and Leeann Reed; mother and father-in-law, Deborah and Raymond Couch, of Marianna; sister-in-law, Dana Couch and Jerry Bradley, of Columbus, GA; brother-in-law, Greg Couch and Misty Williams, of Altha; grandmother-in-law, Jacque Phelps, of Columbus, GA; aunt, Lucille Adkins, of Mississippi; uncles, Clarence Adkins, Gene Adkins and his wife, Susie, Roger Adkins and his wife, Lois, Dewight Summerlin, Bud Smith and Ellis Summerlin.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, at 11:00 am (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael Morris officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. Internment will be at a later date at Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown. The Family will receive friends Friday, July 8, from 10 am (CDT) until service time at 11 am (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home.
