INVITATION TO BID

The Calhoun County School Board will receive sealed bids until 3:00 PM, CT, Thursday, July 14, 2011, for the purchase of the following:

Bread Products (hamburger buns, wiener buns, sub buns and sandwich loafs) for use in the school cafeterias for the bid period of July 18, 2011 - June 30, 2012.

Any additional information or bid forms required may be obtained at the Office of the Superintendent, 20859 Central Avenue East, RM-G20, Blountstown, Florida 32424. Each bidder submitting a bid must use bid forms, otherwise bids will not be considered.

Any bid submitted after the specified hour and date will not be opened or considered. The Board accepts no responsibility for mailed proposals that arrive at the Superintendent’s Office after the above stated time even though the envelope may reflect a postmark prior to the above stated date.

The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The decision of the Board will be final. No bid may be withdrawn by any bidder for a period of thirty (30) days after bids are opened.

The City of Blountstown is requesting proposals for group health insurance for employees and eligible dependents. Please include in health proposal the plan’s accessibility in Calhoun County. A description of current benefits, rates and census information for quotation purposes may be picked up at City Hall. Assume an effective date of October 1, 2011.

Sealed proposals, subject to the minimum general conditions herein, will be received by the City of Blountstown, Florida. CALHOUN COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals, in triplicate, will be received by the Calhoun County Board of County Commissioners until 2:00 p.m., July 19, 2011, local time, at Calhoun County Board of County Commissioner , 20859 Central Avenue East, Room G-130, Blountstown, Florida 32424. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the scheduled Calhoun County Board of County Commissioner Meeting that same day.

Bidders are invited to submit proposals for:

PURCHASE AND INSTALL
AUTOMATED WEATHER
OBSERVATION SYSTEM (AWOS)
AT CALHOUN COUNTY AIRPORT

It is the intent of this Bid to secure a contractor who will permit as a turn-key project, procure, construct site improvements, purchase and install the AWOS, with all accessories as specified in the Technical Specifications section and the attached plans.

Bidders are invited to submit Proposals for this work on the Proposal Forms provided. Other proposal forms will not be accepted.

The complete examination and understanding of the Contract Documents consisting of the Plans and Specifications, and all addenda or other revisions, and Site of the proposed work is necessary to properly submit a Proposal. Contract Documents consisting of the Plans and Specifications, and all addenda or other revisions are available for examination or may be obtained from the offices of the URS Corporation, contact: Diane Kline, 7650 West Courtney Campbell Causeway, Tampa, FL, 33607, Phone (813) 636-2139, Fax (813) 636-2400. There is a $50.00 charge for the plans and specifications. This cost is non refundable.

This project is funded by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) AIP funds.

A Bid Bond in the form as bound in the Contract Documents or Certified Check in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid must accompany each Bid.

Successful Bidder shall be required to execute and to provide a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in an Amount of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total value of the Contract awarded to him with a satisfactory surety or sureties for the full and faithful performance of the work.

The Calhoun County Board of County Commissioners, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000d) and 49 CFR, Part 26 Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in Department of Transportation Programs, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that disadvantaged business enterprises are afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award.

No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt of Proposals for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days.

The Calhoun County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in or reject any or all bids and to award or refrain from awarding the Contract for the Work.
