Were you ever a band member at Blountstown High School or any other school? An effort is underway to create a community band to perform at home football games, parades and other events. All ages are welcome to join, from students to older folks.
Julie Leonard Smith, who led the BHS band back in 1955, as well as during the late 60s, along with the Altha band, will be directing. Call Julie at 674-2239 if you would like to get involved! Let’s bring the band back to Calhoun County! Shown above is the 1978 BHS Marching Tiger Band.
