NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS

The Calhoun County Board of County Commissioners will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in constructing:

SAM ATKINS PARK - RECREATION FIELD
LIGHTING

Plans and specifications can be obtained at Preble-Rish, Inc. 324 Marina Drive, Port St. Joe, Florida 32456, (850) 227-7200. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes on public entity crimes.

This project consists of recreation field lighting at Sam Atkins Park.

Completion date for these projects will be 90 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.

Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $200 per day.

Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid for RECREATION FIELD LIGHTING AT SAM ATKINS PARK.

Bids will be received until 12:00 p.m. CST on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at the Calhoun County Clerk’s Office, Calhoun County Courthouse, 20859 Central Avenue East, Room 130, Blountstown, FL 32424, and will be opened and read aloud on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. CST.

Cost for Plans and Specifications will be $25.00 per set and is non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to Preble-Rish, Inc.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to accept and/or reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in their judgment will be in the best interest of Calhoun County.

The application is submitted by Mr. Tom Odom, authorized agent, Mitigation Resources, LLC, 713 Montrose St., Clermont, FL 34711 for the applicant Bear Creek Timber, LLC represented by Matthew Whitley. The mitigation plan includes the restoration or enhancement and preservation of onsite uplandflatwoods and bay swamp communities to earn credits with the potential to offset impacts to wetland resources within the service area. Enhancement will be accomplished by the construction of ditch blocks and low water crossings and by the removal of inappropriate vegetation, establishment of prescribed fires, and long term management. All persons having claims or demands against the Estate are required, WITHIN THREE MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE FIRST PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, to file with the Clerk of the above Court a written statement of any claim or demand they may have. Each claim must be in writing and must indicate the basis for the claim, the name and address of the creditor or his agent or attorney and the amount the claim is contingent or unliquidated, the nature of the uncertainty shall be state. If the claim is secured, the security shall be described. The claimant shall deliver sufficient copies of the claim to the Clerk to enable the Clerk to mail one copy to the Personal Representative. All persons interested in the Estate to whom a copy of this Notice of Administration has been mailed are required, WITHIN THREE MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF THE FIRST PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE, to file any objection they may have that challenges the validity of the decedent’s Will, the qualifications of the Personal Representative, or the venue or jurisdiction of the Court.
