Saturday, August 1 is the day! The Family Affair will kick-off at 8AM CDT and last until 11:00 AM CDT.
The Calhoun County Children’s Coalition has a grand day planned for Calhoun County’s families. A giant slide, moon walk, trains, free food, drinks, and, of course, give aways from over 25 agencies, businesses, churches and organizations. Bags of school supplies will be available for all grades Pre-K through 12. The supplies are appropriate for each grade. All of this and much more for a small donation of $1 per child.
The Coalition would also like to request that those of you who can please assist families in need to come to this event. No family in Calhoun County should be left out. The Coalition, with the assistance of our partners, will be providing close to 1000 bags of supplies for our children to begin school this year.
Here are things that you need to remember. In order to collect your FREE school supplies, the children must be present with an adult. Each family will be required to have a paper ‘stamped’ at each booth. Once your paper is filled up with stamps, you will go to a central location. It is that simple. Organizers look forward to seeing you!
