After over 35 years with Blountstown Police Department, Chief Glenn Kimbrel retires.
For more than three and a half decades, Glenn Kimbrel has served as a leader of our local law enforcement community. Monday afternoon, co-workers, Council members, family and friends gathered at the Blountstown Police Department to honor him with a retirement party.
Starting out as an officer back in 1975, Glenn moved up with the department and was named police chief following the retirement of Winston Deason who now serves as mayor. Chief Kimbrel has passionately served our community over the years, not only protecting residents and businesses against crime, but volunteering countless hours to civic groups and those in need. We salute you, Chief Kimbrel, and wish you well on your retirement! Pictured are Councilwoman Janie Boyd, Cathy and Glenn Kimbrel, Mayor Winston Deason, and City Manager James Woods.
