The Town of Altha paid tribute to a true hero Thursday. U.S. Air Force Major Jerry Sellers was remembered with a ceremony and unveiling of a monument in his honor in front of Town Hall.
Sellers literally laid down his life for our country on Christmas Day in 1967 while serving in Vietnam. His widow, Jane, and their three children, Jessica, Jeffery, and Jenny, made a cross country trip for the ceremony that was organized by Jerry’s former classmate in the Altha Class of ‘52, Jerry Brock. Altha Mayor Wes Johnston is shown above presenting Jane and the children with a flag in Jerry ‘s honor.
