The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the two people found dead in a Mossy Pond home June 18.
The couple has been identified as Frederick W. Marshall, 66, and Lori Lee Adams, 46.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the FDLE Crime Lab in Pensacola worked with the Medical Examiners Office to compare the fingerprints of the two victims to known inked prints of the homeowner and his girlfriend, resulting in a positive match.
“Although there were not any new revelations in this process, it does bring some closure to that phase of the investigation,” says Sheriff David Tatum.
As reported in last week’s edition, the female victim’s son from Wewahitchka went to Marshall’s home on Lake Shore Drive after being unable to reach his mother for almost a week. He peered in the window, saw a dead body, and called authorities. Investigators discovered both victims on the kitchen floor with several stab wounds. Evidence at the scene suggested the couple stabbed each other to death during a domestic dispute approximately five days before they were discovered.
