The Altha Ozone Allstars began district tournament play last week in Havana.
Competing against five other teams for the title of district champs, the Altha Ozone was very excited and hoping for a long week. They outscored their opponents 53-24 in five games of district play and defeated Liberty County, 12-6, in the championship. This is the first Altha team that has ever one a Dixie District Championship. The team will advance to State play-offs in Sebring beginning July 9. Behind any successful team is a great group of parents and coaches. In an effort to help off-set the cost of attending state, the group will be having fundraisers in the coming week and will be accepting donations. Contact any parent for more information.
