It was an exciting Sunday of games for the Big Bend Baseball League of Florida.

In the Western Division, the Bay County Brewers jumped back into first place by defeating the Calhoun Horsemen 21-16, while the Washington County Bruins fell back to second place after losing 5-3 to the Chattahoochee Red Birds. Thus, the Bruins and the Brewers continue to fight it out for soul possession of first place in the Western Division.

In the Eastern Division of the League, the Liberty County Diamond Dawgs increase their hold on first place by taking a double header from the Jackson Jays in Marianna by scores of 10-8 and 12-2. In the first game the Jays held an 8-7 lead over the Diamond Dawgs going into the last inning when the Dawgs clawed back with three runs to win 10-8. Credit must be given to the Jays in their effort to upset the first place Dawgs in the Eastern Division. Also, credit goes to the Jays for four new players who joined the club this past week for the first time.
