It’s time for some football before a long summer break. The Tigers will host Freeport this Friday night at Bowles Field at 6:30.
There will be some new faces and names at various positions on the field with this 2009 version of the Tigers. We’ll start on offense with projected starters for this week at QB will be P.J. Buggs, at full back will be Darrin Huff and Jawon Mosley. Playing the wing back position will be Brandon Smith, Alexander Garrett, Princeton Grant and Patrick Wilson. Stafford Dawson and Roger Abbott will share tight end duties.
The offensive line will be anchored by John Jourdan at center, Jason Money and Dowling Lee will play at the guard positions, Blake Shelton and Michael Gibson will play the tackles. Wide reciever will be played by Paul Mosley and D.J. Brunson.
On the defensive side of the ball in our four man front scheme we’ll start at defensive end with Blake Shelton and Corey Womble. Defensive tackles will be Frankie Murrell, Tony Maynor and Byron Hall. Inside linebackers will be Jason Money, Dowling Lee and Zack Segers. Outside linebackers will be Alexander Garrett, Jawon Mosley and Anthony Curry.
In the secondary at safety will be Patrick Wilson, at the corners will be Brandon Smith, Paul Mosley, Prince Grant and D.J. Brunson.
This group of players have been a joy to coach this spring. They have had good attitudes and have worked hard to be a team. Come out and support the TIGERS as they prepare to battle the Bulldogs from Freeport. See you at Bowles Field and GO TIGERS!!!!
